Wet n Wild Photofocus Foundation Review

A few weeks ago I reviewed this wet n wild photofocus foundation on my youtube channel and I wanted to write about it for those people who want to read rather than watch a video. 🙂

I bought this from girllabph on shopee for P400. This is in the shade Soft Beige. I should have bought Golden Beige instead since this is lighter for my skin tone. I have an oily face by the way and I also have a warm undertone. I don’t own a Mac foundation which you can compare with but I usually buy bb creams that are in the shade “medium”.

The foundation has a paddle type of applicator instead of the usual pump. I don’t mind it being a paddle though as I can easily spread it directly to my face. Some would say it’s unsanitary but for me it’s just like a concealer where you have to dip it in every time you use it. This also has 30mL of product.

Description:

“Our new high-performing, skin-perfecting foundation underwent major road testing under seven different photo lighting conditions to deliver flawless camera-ready makeup every time. Specially made with a matte, light-diffusing complex to give your skin #nofilter perfection.”

Here’s my face without foundation on:

Here’s how it looks like with foundation on:

Pros:

  • It has a medium coverage thus covering my acne scars. Not totally but it lessened the visibility of it.
  • It’s buildable coverage.
  • It looks flawless on both camera and video.
  • It doesn’t have a flashback.
  • It doesn’t oxidize.
  • Would keep my oils at bay for at least 5 hours.
  • The price is so-so.
  • I love the packaging and applicator (it may vary to other people depending on their preference).
  • It has a shade description on the bottle which is very helpful to people who don’t know what shade to get. Soft beige is for light-medium skin tone with warm undertone.
  • It’s not totally matte. You can still see dewiness on your skin but not over the top. You can say it’s a satin matte? I love it though as it’s not drying on the skin.
  • One paddle dip is enough for me coverage wise.

Cons:

  • It has a pink undertone rather than it being warm as it claims to be. I have a yellow undertone that’s why it’s one of the cons for me.
  • Not accessible anywhere here in Davao City. I have to buy mine online.
  • It has a paint smell. It’s not too strong though. It does go away after a while.

OVERALL:

I love this foundation! This would totally be one of my favorites from now on. I just need to mix it in with a darker foundation or just buy the right shade for me. This would definitely last me long as I don’t need a lot to get the coverage that I want.
