Extensive Review: Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay Mask (Oily Skin’s Bestfriend)

I bought Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay Mask a couple of weeks ago because I have been breaking out so much that I just wanted these pesky pimples to get out of my freaking face!! lol.

Anyway, I bought this from Shopee and it’s in a smaller tub because the seller @belladonaj sold the 75g at that time at the app (SPOILER ALERT!!! I did buy the full tub because I LOVE it!!!) and I wanted to see if it’ll work for me or not so I had to try it before purchasing a bigger tub.

I have been trying this since I got it on June 6 I think. So enough blabbing and let’s get on with the review. 🙂

P.S This post is gonna be a long one so if you’re not interested with the other information I will put down below then you can check my Pro’s and Con’s instead at the bottom of this post. (Which I think you should know these infos atleast.)

Description:

(All of the information from this product I got from iHerb and from the Aztec website.)

How to use:

Mix AZTEC SECRET INDIAN HEALING CLAY with equal parts of apple cider vinegar* or water. It is best to use a glass, pottery, or wooden bowl. Stir the mixture until it is a smooth paste – add more clay or liquid as needed. Apply 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick layer of clay to the face or other areas and let it dry. Drying times vary, but times are generally 5 minutes for delicate skin and 15- 20 minutes for normal skin. You will feel a pulling and tightening sensation.

Remove clay by washing with warm water. A slight redness may appear after removing the clay. This is normal and will disappear in approximately 30minutes. AZTEC SECRET INDIAN HEALING CLAY helps to remove dirt and impurities from the pores of the skin. The clay is beneficial for deep pore cleansing of the skin.

* Use only 100% apple cider vinegar. Raw is preferable Discontinue if rash appears. For external use only.

How often:

Use it once per week for the family, more often for problem skin.

How it works:

When a facial or clay poultice is applied to the skin it forms a negative charge. Poisons and toxins stored in the epidermis have a positive charge – Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay lifts the pimple and blackheads into the clay bed to cause accelerated healing and nourishment to the skin with over 50 minerals.100% NATURAL.

Best for:

Oily Skin. Since bentonite is an absorbent clay it helps you remove the excess oil from your skin and thus ideal for oily skin.

Ingredient/s:

Bentonite: 100% pure!

How are you feeling there? Information overload maybe? Hehe. Just wanted to let you know more about the Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay. You can also check an article I bumped into when I was searching about the ingredient which is Bentonite. Read here.

My experience:

I personally use this mask with the apple cider vinegar because it’s easier for me to apply it on the face while when I mixed it with water it was so liquidy and I had trouble applying it.

I also use this with a paddle brush because it is easier that way. (as you can tell I want it EASY! Lol)

This is how it looks like on the skin. It’s a gray powder but when mixed with the apple cider vinegar or water it turns greenish.

Here are my pros and cons based on what I experienced with the mud mask.

PROS:

  • Deeply cleanses my pores.
  • Minimized the appearance of my pores.
  • Helped me heal my nodule pimple (which is really hard to remove if you have experienced it.)
  • I LOVE how it feels. ( It felt ticklish rather than what the tub said which is “feel your face pulsate” for some reason. Or maybe I’m just weird for some reason! Lol)
  • Very affordable.
  • Doesn’t test on animals and has no animal product.

CONS:

  • Some people will have small pimples surface on their face. (I did have these but it will fade eventually if you use it continuously)
  • Your face will turn red. (But the redness fades eventually after 15 minutes or so.)
  • You’ll feel tight on the face. (I don’t have a problem with that anyway.)
  • You’re face will feel dry after use. (I would suggest you put moisturizer on the face after using this.)

Where to buy:

If you are from the Philippines you can buy it from the shopee app and search for @belladonaj there.

If you are from abroad then you can buy it here.

How much does it cost:

Philippines:

75g = 150 php

454g = 490 php

Abroad:

454g = $7.95

908g = $12.50

Verdict: I Love this product and have been my favorite mud mask since I used it. I RECOMMEND this to everyone not just the oily skin girls (Kathleenlights uses this as well and she has dry skin. If you don’t know her you can check out her channel from youtube.). I would rate this 9/10. (Because nobody or in this case nothing is perfect. Hehe)

If you have any other input about this mask feel free to comment down below. I hope you like this post! 🙂

xo,

Ela
