Caitlyn’s Dumpling Bar

August 16, 2016 was the first day of Kadayawan festival here in Davao, Philippines. Of course, there’s no way me and my boyfriend will just stay at home. But little did we know the first day isn’t really that lively. Lol. So, we ate at Caitlyn’s Dumpling Bar instead.

FOOD

Pork & Shrimp Siomai 12 pcs. – 130php, Steamed Beef Brisket – 90php, Beef Brisket Noodle Soup – 85php

Seafood Fried Rice – 35php

Chicken Feet – 5 pcs. – 70 php

Matcha Buchi – 90php

We didn’t order much..As you can see..We’re not hungry..Really!! 😁

Of all the foods we ate, the one that would make me want to go back there is the Matcha Bucchi. I am not the biggest fan of bucchi’s but this one is really tasty! I had to take it at home! I wasn’t able to finish the whole thing because it was the last one that was served on our table! All of the food I ate were good though. I wasn’t able to eat chicken feet because I was too busy eating the other dishes as well. :p

MENU

It’s very affordable here! As you can see on the menu, you can pretty much enjoy the food while not spending much.

RESTAURANT

IMG_6743IMG_6744IMG_6745IMG_6751IMG_6752

The restaurant is not very visible to eyes on my opinion. The restaurant is clean and simple. They only have one server that time. I don’t know if they have other employees though. When we went there, there were just 2 tables occupied (ours included). They have a sink in the middle of the resto, a water dispenser beside it, and a television on top of the entrance, which I think is a good idea for the customers, but the downside may be that customers would stay longer just because they are watching TV or something. It’s also not practical to put it on top of the entrance door, but maybe it’s just me. What do you think?

Anyway, people there are very accommodating and kind, especially the manager which turned on the lights when I was taking pictures of their dishes. Maybe because they can benefit from it somehow. Just kidding. They’re really friendly though. 🙂

I am not a food critic or something but I love food so I guess I can rate it 4 out of 5 just because they can still put big signages or something that would make their restaurant more visible to people and also they can jazz their interior to make it more instagram worthy. Not that it’s not IG worthy but you know what I mean. :p

There are a lot of cafe’s, bars, restaurants, etc. that are stepping up their interior game so.. I’m just saying… 🙂

But anyway, if you happen to go to Davao then don’t hesitate to visit Caitlyn’s Dumpling Bar. I will put all their details below.

I hope you like this post and I’ll see you on the next food trip. 🙂

xo,

Ela
