Love Love Love. Is the catchphrase she always say when she was still hosting on television. I am not a big fan of Kris Aquino, BUT I am a makeup junkie, so I bought her collection in collaboration with Ever Bilena!
To be honest, I was not expecting anything from it as a lot of actors who have these kinds of collaborations are not really working hands on. I was quite surprised when I heard about this collaboration as I wasn’t thinking that she’d be doing a collab with one of the most affordable makeup brands here in the Philippines.
Her collab is called the Kris Aquino Life Kits. It consists of a Matte Matic Lipstick and a Brow Liner with a Brow Mascara. They only have 2 shades of each product for now. I’m not sure if they’ll be releasing some other products though.
Anyway, here are my thoughts regarding these 2 products.
Kris Matte Matic Lipstick in “Life” (P245)
PROS
- Lightweight on the lips.
- Has minimal transfer.
- Hassle-free as it’s retractable.
- Not drying especially when first applied.
- Has great packaging.
- Shade suits a lot of skin tones.
- Easily accessible.
- Pigmented.
CONS
- Price isn’t the same with their usual lip products.
- Doesn’t have a lot of shades available.
- Creates white crusts on your lips after 5 hours of wear.
- Looks a bit dry when re-applied.
Kris Matte Brow Liner (P275)
PROS
- Affordable.
- Easily Accessible.
- Pigmented.
- Doesn’t come off easily even when you’re sweating.
- Easy to use.
- Travel-Friendly.
- The brow mascara spooly is super cute.
CONS
- Doesn’t have a spooly.
- The brow liner is a bit thick, so you may need to clean the surrounding of your brows to make it more on fleek.
After 5 hours of wear, I still have some product on my lips and my brows still looked on fleek even when I was sweating.
You may or may not like Kris Aquino, but I’m not going to lie, I like her products and I must say they’re worth it! I hope Ever Bilena releases some more lipstick shades with the same formula as I really love it. It’s not the same as the matte lipstick I bought from them a couple of months ago which is VERY DRYING!
I would definitely recommend her products to all of my readers (If I have one. lol).
