Gui Gui Grill Korean Restaurant

SAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURES

It’s that month of the year!!

It’s December already and on the 1st day of the month I decided to eat out at a Korean Restaurant here in Davao, the GuiGui Grill Restaurant.

I actually heard it from my sister because she’s kind of a “k-popper” I would say. (Is that even a word? lol)

Just a side note. I invited my sister to eat dinner there while I was doing my make up and stuffs, she said yes at first but after I’m done for like an hour or so (I take time with it if we don’t have a fixed time) she got lazy and stuff. I wanted to treat them there, together with my mom, because I got my bonus from work already, and so I also invited my mom but when she knew my sister won’t come she didn’t come either knowing that there would only be the three of us eating, including my bei. It’s kind of a bummer really.

So anyway, we went to Guigui grill to try their cuisine. They don’t have the usual menu like any other restaurants where they hand out the menu to each customer. It’s kind of unique to just place a big menu on the wall so that everybody could see.

It’s a good thing that it’s written in english as well.

By the way the place is a bit small but it could still cater maybe around 50-70 customers I believe. What I like about this place is that it’s really cozy and the place doesn’t smell like the usual “restaurant smell” if you know what I mean :). Most of all they have good lightings for better selfies *wink*.

Meet my bei! 🙂
We were watching a music video by 2NE1. Forgot what that was. 🙂

We ordered samgyupsal, dak galbi and kimbap. It took us time to order because the foods were not that familiar. lol. (It costs us around 1000 php including our drinks.)

Another good thing here are the two staffs who were homosexuals (and I enjoyed that!) ’cause they’re really entertaining to watch. Their names were Mark and Kim. Too bad I din’t take their photos. 🙁

So anyway, another unique thing about the resto is that they don’t use an automatic griller or something. They use the ol’ fashion charcoal which many say that it makes your meat a lot jucier.

That gold tube is their exhaust. It’s pretty sleek really. 🙂

Overall the place is good for those who want to try korean cuisine without spending too much money. Some of the foods are a bit expensive but some are pretty much affordable compared to other korean restaurants here in Davao.

Suggestions:

It would be better if their tables were alot bigger. We only ordered 3 viands but it already consumed our tables’ space considering they also serve side dishes.

Another thing would be to have a back cushion on their seats and serve side dishes that are more edible to those who are non-veggie eaters. 🙂

Oh we also tried the ice cream popsicle at a korean store just beside the restaurant located beside Chowking near Victoria Plaza, Bajada, Davao City. 🙂
