Sitio Maupot Family Resort

Nestled on a cliff, Sitio Maupot Family Resort is one of the places I wanted to visit ever since I saw it on facebook. Pictures from their social media accounts are not enough to prove that this place is worth the R&R.

Last Saturday, me, my boyfriend and my close friend Dane went to Sitio Maupot. I don’t know what got into me since I don’t like travelling by land that much especially because I can’t stretch or sit comfortably in a van. But anyway, I told my boyfriend last week that I wanted to go here and he immediately contacted the person in charge for Sitio Maupot’s facebook page for a reservation.

They don’t cater walk in guests so you really have to call or message them for a reservation.

How to get there:

  1. Go to Kidapawan City. If you are from Davao, then you can ride a van at the Gmall terminal. We asked the driver to drop us off at the new Jollibee, the one with a drive thru.

Travel time: approximately 2.5-3 hrs

Fare: P150

2. From Kidapawan City proper, you can either ride a motorcycle or the so called “habal-habal”, a tricycle or the shuttle bus/van that Sitio Maupot owns. If you’re travelling with a private vehicle then that would be fine too as they have a space where you can park it there.

We weren’t informed that we can opt for the shuttle bus/van so we had to ride a motorcycle instead. It was a good choice since it was raining that time. For more information about this you can hit them up on their facebook page.

Travel time: approximately 20-30 mins.

Fare: P40 if you decided to wait in a queue or you can also negotiate with the driver in case you don’t want to wait in line. (Kidapawan City Proper to Magpet)

SHUTTLE BUS/VAN SCHEDULE:

FREE SHUTTLE BUS/VAN for Maupot Bali Village Check in guests.

2nd trip – 1:30 PM (Kidapawan-Sitio Maupot)

Tricycle ride from Jollibee Drive thru in Kidapawan

PLACE

The first thing you’ll see when you enter the resort is their sign in which we immediately took a picture with after settling our things to our room.
This is the entrance to the infinity pool and the reception area where we checked in.
I was dumbfounded when I first saw the view from the infinity pool. You can see Mt. Apo from here. (That is me and my friend Dane.)
I’d say I’m the better photographer yes? xD
Infinity pool at night.

They also have a regular pool for those who are on a budget (I wasn’t able to take a picture of it but I did vlog our whole stay so I guess you can check it on my channel as well? #alwaysplug :p).

If you aren’t checked in their Bali Village rooms then you have to pay P200 entrance fee for the infinity pool. On the other hand, you will only pay  P50 for Adults and P25 for the Kids on their regular pool.

They also have a heated Jacuzzi, a sauna below the infinity pool and below you can find their massage area as well. I’m not that sure though but it looks like that. 😀

This is the Heated Jacuzzi. At the end of the picture, you can find the sauna area. The Jacuzzi is open every 6:00 – 8:00 AM to 4:00 – 8:00 PM
This is the massage area I think. lol. It’s below the Jacuzzi area.
I don’t know how much this will cost you but I think it’s free if you’re one of the Maupot Bali Village guests. (Correct me if I’m wrong)

ROOM

I love the room! Especially the aesthetics of their bathroom! We opted for the standard room good for 2. The only thing that disappointed me was that they didn’t clean the refrigerator. There were spills of cola inside the ref. I thought they only forgot to clean ours but apparently in Dane’s room it’s like that as well. Canned sodas and beers weren’t refilled as well. They aren’t free but what if their customers would like to avail that in the middle of the night right?

Our room is the one below the stairs.
They have a free soap, shampoo and conditioner, lotion, toothbrush and a toothpaste. You don’t have to bring a towel as they’ll provide you with that as well. They’ll provide you with a pair of slippers also but we couldn’t find it there. lol
Sorry for the mess on the sides. :p

They have a complimentary bottled water and coffee but one thing that is missing from our room is the electric kettle. We didn’t have coffee though so it’s alright.

FOOD

Surprisingly their food was priced well and tasted good as well. Ambiance was really nice too. By the way, they have a corkage fee in case you want to bring food.

This is their menu. I wasn’t able to take a picture of the other side but you can check their instagram page as they also have a picture of their menu.

ACTIVITIES

Unfortunately we weren’t able to avail any of their recreational activities. We were supposed to do karaoke but the electricity that time kept on fluctuating so I don’t think that would be a good choice.

Recreational Activities:

STAFF

The receptionist was approachable and cheerful. She explained everything to us regarding with the rules and regulations and such. The staff on their restaurant/bar were good as well.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay here. If you want to relax with your loved ones or wanting to go to a place where you can take tons of pictures for your Instagram or other social media accounts then this is a great place for you. The family resort has a nice ambiance.

We went there on a Saturday so there’s a lot of people who checked in there. Best time to go is on a weekday so you’ll feel the exclusivity of the resort.

I hope you like this post. Hit the like button if you did and share this post to the person who you think needs a vacation.

Thank you for reading and ’til next time!
