DUPE THAT: Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Lipstick #11 / My favorite red lipstick!!!

I haven’t done this in a looooooong time! I posted a similar one way way back. It’s Gerard Cosmetics lipstick in Fire Engine which is a dupe of MAC Ruby woo lipstick. You can check my post here.

A couple of days ago, I was playing with a lot of my lipsticks. Swatching on my hand and on my lips. I mean I’m not the only one who does this right? :p

So I found out that my current favorite Rimmel Kate Long lasting lipstick in #11 has a dupe on the drugstore as well. I mean one isn’t really high end but Rimmel isn’t really a brand that we can get anytime here in Davao. I found out that the Maybelline Colorsensational lipstick in Red Revival is a dupe for the Rimmel one!!!

I got so excited when I found this one because I don’t use my Rimmel Lipstick often because I’m aftaid after I used it all up I can’t get it again! Anyone does that also?? xD

Anyway, here are some swatches on my arm and on my lips. 🙂

As you can see, they don’t look the same at all!!! Left one is the Maybelline Colorsensational in Red Revival and the Right one is the Rimmel Kate Long Lasting Lipstick in #11.

When you swatch both of them lightly the two lipsticks look SIMILAR! But here I think you can still see the difference as the Rimmel swatched darker than the Maybelline one. I did a couple of swatches on the Rimmel one. Maybelline is on the top and Rimmel is on the bottom.

On my left side (top and bottom lips) I am wearing the Maybelline one and on the right side (top and bottom) I am wearing the Rimmel one. As you can see they REALLY look similar. BUT if you’ll apply the rimmel lipstick a couple of times then you would see how darker it is. So depending on how you apply it then it would look the same.

A couple of things I noticed from the lipsticks:

  • They are both in satin finish.
  • They both are moisturizing. But I must say the Maybelline one is much more moisturizing than the Rimmel one.
  • Both have a scent. But I love the scent better on the Maybelline one.

I haven’t worn the Maybelline lipstick often so I can’t really tell if it’s long wearing but from what I’ve heard and from what I tried from the other shades they do tend to stay on the lips for a long time. The Rimmel one is definitely long wearing sa I can only touch up with it twice for a whole day of going out.
