Hey!
It’s been a while since I blogged! I missed writing! 🙂
Anyway, last April 21, 2016,my friends and I went to Samal. We figured we need a breather from all the stress from work and from just having a home based job (which will drive you nuts if you’re not a home buddy at all). We need to get out!
So we went to Villa Amparo Beach resort in baranggay Camudmud. It’s actually my second time going there. The first one was last July 2015. My boyfriend and I celebrated our third year anniversary there. What I remembered from last year was that the place was so peaceful, beautiful and clean. Not to mention the staffs were pretty accomodating. There weren’t many people so we felt like the place was made exclusive for us. Lol
The one thing that I wasn’t thrilled was that the water was so sandy and shallow that time. This time was on another level.
If you want to chill and relax then Villa Amparo should be one of your options when you visit Samal. They don’t have many things to do there but it would be perfect for special occasions or just your regular chillin’ with best buds.
Their beach looked like a pool! It was clean and not too shallow not too deep. Good for those who doesn’t even know how to swim like me! lol.
We just had a day tour because I had something to do the next day but it was worth it. We didn’t call them beforehand but I recommend that you call them if you want to stay there overnight. The place wasn’t expensive at all and they did not charge us with corkage for the water and chips we brought.
Here are our expenses:
Entrance and Exit to Sasa and Samal Barge: 10php each
Single Motorcycle Ride: 75php each person. The motorcycle caters to two persons. You can actually bargain with the driver for the price. They charged us 80 php for one motorcycle ride instead of 150php (which is 75php each person). (It’s a 15-20 minute ride from the barge.)
Tricycle Ride: 375php for 5 pax which is 75php each person. If your group is less than 5 then you still have to pay 375php.
Entrance for day tour:
- 4 Years Old Below – FREE
- Kids (5-12 years old)- Php 70
- Adult – Php100
We didn’t avail any cottages to save money but they do have a free table inclusive of your entrance fee.
Room Rates
- Non-Aircon room ( 4 persons) – Php 1800.00
- Air-con room ( 4 persons) – Php 2500.00
- Family Room(air-con) – Php 4500.00
- Pent House – Php 100.00/pax
Food: I wasn’t able to take a picture of their menu but they have very affordable foods. As I remembered it didn’t go above 150php.
Amenities are as follows: (according to website)
Floating Cottage – It’s on another island which is connected to the mainland beach resort.
- Water world Playground – didn’t see it there.
- Kayak
- Air conditioned rooms
- Open Cottages
- Bar
- Karaoke
I also saw a trampolin there last year but when we were there a few days ago it wasn’t there anymore. We also saw two swings and a place to drink coffee or what under the main island. It’s nice to have those but I don’t think you could use it if the water is too high. Lol
They have a shoreline but not too big that it can cater a lot of people.

On the site I just linked above they said that the entrance fee for the day tour is inclusive of a free lunch and a pool usage but they don’t really have a pool. They have a beach that looks like a pool though and they didn’t offer us free food so I don’t know if the site is updated or not. :p
Overall, I like it there. I’d recommend the place to my other friends as well. 🙂
I vlogged our trip so I hope you can check it though we didn’t do anything exciting. Thank you. 🙂
