Hi!
I was cleaning my makeup when I thought of posting swatches of the Gerard Cosmetics Lipsticks that I own. I don’t own all of them but I have a decent amount of the said product. I started buying stuffs from the site last year of november when I heard Carli Bybel mention them on youtube. You know. The whole “Youtube made me buy it” thing! 🙂 Here are the swatches of the 6 lipsticks I got:

KIMCHI DOLL. It’s the lightest shade I got. it’s a pale pinky shade which not everyone can pull off. I actually cannot pull this shade off by it’s own. My skin is originally tanned (w5 in Loreal Truematch). I have warm undertones btw. I see some tanned youtubers like Whatwouldlizzydo wear this and it does look good on her. Anyway. The only thing that makes me wear this is if I have a lip liner lined all over the sides of my lips and Kimchi doll at the center. This lipstick though can be paired with any lip liners and blends with it beautifully. You can watch Sophia Chang’s lip swatches on it and lip combo. You have to scrub your lips before wearing this because it will really emphasize the cracks of your lips and it does leave a halo on the inside of your lips. I don’t know though if it’s because of the lipliner I used or the lipstick itself. (Click on Kimchi Doll to go to her video on youtube)
1995. This is the creation of Jaclyn Hill with GC. She collaborated with them when everyone was talking all about Kylie Jenner’s lips. It’s a browny nude and anyone can wear them actually. I love this but it’s not that creamy compared to the other lipsticks. What I love about this is that it doesn’t create any halo on the inner parts of your lips and it lasts for a good amount of time. Berry Smoothie. This is the creamiest of all the lipsticks shown on my swatches. It applies smoothly. It doesn’t leave you with white halo on the inner side of your lips and it stays on your lips for quite a while. It disappears naturally where it doesn’t leave cracks on your lips. I just love this. Does appear satin on swatches though it’s matte. I don’t mind anyway.
Rodeo Drive. I bought this because youtubers mentioned this on there monthly favorites. I guess I shouldn’t have bought this because this and Berry Smoothie are quite similar. Berry Smoothie is a tad bit darker than Rodeo Drive. Berry Smoothie is a mauve-pinky shade while this one is a dark pinky nude.
French Toast. Patrickstarrr made me buy this also when I saw his instagram with this on his lips. It’s like 1995 but a bit darker. It does look like a satin finish but it’s still matte.
Fire Engine. This is my favorite! This is a dupe for MAC Ruby Woo which I love. The only problem with ruby woo is that it’s quite drying on the lips which the GC one doesn’t give the same feeling to me. I will link my blog post about it. Just click “Fire Engine” to go to the link.
Gerard Cosmetics does have a lot of discounts on their site. You can check your favorite youtuber for a bunch of coupon codes. They also ship internationally free which I like since I live in the Philippines and any other site would ask for around $16-20 just for shipping fee.
I’d say it’s worth the try. Just don’t buy the shades that’s quite similar to the other shades they have because it’s just wasting of money. (Which I’m guilty with!) Lol.

Hi! I’m interested about buying from Gerard Cosmetics (I live in the PH as well). I just wanted to ask how the process of having the items shipped internationally went? Were they shipped to your door or did you have to claim them at the post office? I’ve really wanted to buy for so long but I’m apprehensive because I always hear horror stories about claiming stuff at the post office and how ridiculously high they charge for the importation taxes : many thanks!!
Hi! I ordered directly from their website. There’s no additional taxes paid if you order directly from them as it is included on the price you paid but if you’ll have a US address and let them deliver it to you it will be faster but that’s the time where you have to pay taxes and stuff. They delivered it to my doorstep but I paid 100php for their delivery which is ok compared to 2k php when I used a US address. Philpost delivered it to me 2 weeks after I placed an order. It depends on where your address is maybe. I’m from Davao though. 🙂
I forgot to mention, the fee for Philpost depends on how much weight your order is. I tried ordering from BH cosmetics and it was a lot so I had to get it directly from the postal office. They won’t contact you if they have your package you will be the one to call your post office if they have it already. The site where you bought your products will give you a tracking number which you will use in tracking your stuff at your postal office. I have no problems in GC on the otherhand since they will deliver it directly throught my doorstep. 🙂 Hope I answered your question and hope your not confused. :p
You enlightened me a lot. Yeah, the shipping is actually cheaper if you go through GC directly than through a US address, and it’s pretty hard to resist free international shipping 😉 I don’t mind waiting as long as I get my items. Now I’m looking forward to shopping me some Hydra Matte Liquid Lipsticks <3 thank you so much! I plan to have the items shipped to my office in Quezon City 🙂

Hello! How about customs taxes or other import duties, are they included in the total cost already or you still have to pay for those? I experienced ordering something from Hong Kong and the customs tax I paid was que horror!
Sorry for the very late response. I’ve been MIA here on wordpress this past week. If you order directly from Gerard’s website then you don’t have to pay for custom taxes and such. You only have to pay the delivery charge from your post office which was a penny here.
